Eddie's Entertainers

Eddie's Entertainers include St Edmund's students who are interested in dance and drumming in our drum circle for an outside audience. The students take it in turns to perform song and dance and drum routines at various mainstream high schools enabling our students to access the wider community.

Some of the schools we have performed at this year include St. Joseph's College, Mount St Benedict, Loreto Normanhurst, Queenwood and Abbotsleigh. We usually perform at their school assemblies and are often invited to join their students for morning tea or lunch. Eddie's entertainers have also performed at St Lucy's School for children with disabilities.

During the year, small groups of our students will perform at venues on the weekend or the evenings - e.g., at our main fundraiser Eddie's Big Night Out, St Ives Girls Night Out, Charity Challenge Golf Dinner and the Wahroonga Fair.

We try to organise about three performances a term which will involve about 20 students each time. The students practise hard for each performance and we have a large repertoire of choreographed dances. The prospect of performing generates a lot of excitement among the students.
