Visual Arts

Visual Arts is a mandatory Life Skills course by the Board of Studies for Years 7 and 8. At St Edmund's it is run in exactly the same manner as it would be at any other high school.

In our fully-equipped, spacious and light-filled Art Room, students gain experience working with a large variety mediums and forms. They study past and present Artists to encourage and inspire their artwork, and may participate in excursions to galleries. We endeavour to have a broad choice of experiences over the two years so students can succeed in at least some of the areas. Students' artwork is displayed around the school, with regular changes made to the displays throughout the term. Many students' artwork is framed and sold at St Edmund's fundraising events.

Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts students study a Life Skills only course of study.
