My journey with Eddie's began when we were searching for a school that wasn't just about academics, but about nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. We wanted a safe place where our son could grow not only in knowledge but in character, where values like compassion, perseverance, and community were just as important as Math and English.
From the moment we set foot on the Eddie's campus, we felt a sense of belonging. The amazing teachers, staff, and fellow parents welcomed us with open arms, and we quickly saw the extraordinary dedication to creating a supportive and enriching environment for every student. This school does more than teach; it inspires, transforms, and empowers our children to reach their fullest potential.

Tom started St Edmund’s in Year 7, we were thrilled he had been given a place at this school. Its reputation was exceptional. Known for celebrating the ability in disability and encouraging that every student is liberated to reach their potential. St Edmund’s operates close to a mainstream system. Students move independently between classes and subjects. They have a homeroom teacher and different subject teachers. Students learn to adapt to change. They participate in sporting events, have state of the art kitchen fitouts for hospitality subjects made possible by previous EBNO events. They have 3D printers and technology again from funds raised from EBNO. They have many opportunities presented to them. What I can honestly say without any hesitation or second thoughts, St Edmund's, its staff, its programs, and his peers have given Tom the very best opportunities, preparations and support to best help him try and navigate the next steps he needs to take after year 12 so that he can lead as normal and independent, happy life as possible.

Our journey with Eddie’s began back in 2019. Like many parents, we were filled with hope, nerves, and a deep desire to find the right place for him—a school that would understand, support, and help him grow not just academically, but emotionally and socially too.
And just like that, a new chapter began. Fast forward to December 2024, Krish finished Year 12. And like they say, “all good things come to an end”—but this ending was one filled with pride, gratitude, and so many precious memories.
My heart is filled with thankfulness—first and foremost, to the Almighty God who helped us find this beautiful, nurturing school. We didn’t know what to expect at the start, but very quickly—within just a couple of weeks—we knew we had come to the right place. Eddie’s has not just been a school. It has been our extended family, our safe space, and our guide through the many unknowns that come with raising a child with additional needs.
As migrants with minimal support from extended family, the journey has had its fair share of challenges. But here at Edmund’s, we found a support system that wrapped around our son and around us. A system that didn’t just teach, but truly understood. That met us where we were, and helped us walk forward, step by step.
This school embodies inclusiveness—not just across abilities, but across cultures, languages, and faiths. It has been so heartening to see the interfaith understanding and respect that exists here, which makes every family feel valued and welcome.

Looking back at all the challenges that my parents and I had, it was the best decision we ever made to enrol at St Edmunds! St Edmunds gave me all of the tools, skills and confidence that I needed to achieve my goals.
I don’t think that I could have achieved any of these without the commitment of all of my teachers and St Edmund’s staff.
I was one of the lucky ones to have attended St Edmund’s. I walked in as a nervous and shy boy and with their help and support, I walked out as very confident and a capable young adult!
I will never forget my time at St Edmund’s!
